Welcome to Agape Institute Online

What does the word agape mean? Agape is the Greek word for "unconditional love". It describes both God’s love and the early Christian community’s love towards one another.

This course is an monthly online Bible study offered by the Monroe Congregational Church that explores contemporary justice issues within the context of scripture, specifically the Synoptic Gospels. The study is taught by a team of pastors and guest lecturers from the congregation, and it is open to any person who wishes to study scripture within a trusted community.

Participants in this study agree to make the following covenant with one another: under all circumstances, each person's opinions and responses are to be treated with care and confidentiality.

Shall we begin?
